Jo-Marie is a Los Angeles based actress who grew up in the Bay Area in California. After living in LA for 3 years taking classes, working commercially, and pursuing her dreams, she ventured to New York. There she studied acting at the Maggie Flannigan Studio where she fell in LOVE with the craft and art of storytelling.
Unfortunately while snowboarding one Christmas Eve, she had a life changing accident and sustained a spinal cord injury at the C4 vertebrae. After a year and a half of vigorous rehab, she decided it was time to get back to her creative life even if it looked a little different.
She's worked in both San Francisco and LA and starred in many national commercials and print ads such as Target, Meta, WhatsApp, Wells Fargo, Garmin, Eero, Webflow, UCSF health, and Indeed. When she’s not acting she is wheelchair adventuring, lost in her paintings, creating wheelchair/disability educational content, or predicting reality television.
Her latest adventure is moving back to Los Angeles January 2024! Recently she booked a Paramount/CBS Super Bowl Commercial, Produced and starred in the short Take Care, and starred in a feature film in development!
